SQUIRREL

At first glance, squirrels may seem harmless, but once they infiltrate your attic, they can cause significant damage. They can gnaw through electrical cables, creating fire hazards, and introduce combustible nesting materials. Squirrels often enter through chimney vents, cellar windows, or by gnawing through wood and plastic. They also carry parasites like fleas, mites, and ticks, and are capable of inflicting painful bites.

What does our professional service do?

There are several methods people use to get rid of squirrels, such as trapping them in cages, poisoning them, or killing them. While these approaches may offer short-term relief, they are ineffective in the long run and do not guarantee a permanent solution. Additionally, it is illegal to kill a squirrel without a permit, making some of these methods unlawful.

If you contact us, we can assure you of a professional pest control solution that works long-term. We have all the necessary equipment to eliminate your squirrel problem for good. Not only do we relocate the squirrels, but we also reinforce your home to ensure they—and many other animals—stay out for good.

Reproductive Cycle

Two or three young are born in the spring, and sometimes a second litter is born in late summer. The mother squirrel will move her young from tree dens to leaf nests, often in response to weather changes or to provide relief from ectoparasites.

Habitat

Squirrels typically nest in trees, either in natural holes or in leaf nests constructed in branches at least 8 meters above the ground. They will also nest in attics or eaves if these spaces are accessible.

Diet

Although squirrels will eat anything of nutritional value, their favorite foods are pine cones, nuts, and fruits. They often gather more food for the winter than they will actually consume.

Ability

Squirrels have 4 teeth that grow continuously throughout their lives, ensuring that they don’t wear down from gnawing on food or materials. Their eyes are positioned high on their head, one on each side, allowing them to have a wide field of vision.
