Reproductive cycle
Spiders with a rich food supply can multiply rapidly. A male spider deposits his sperm on a sperm web, and when the female approaches, they mate. In some cases, the female may even eat the male after mating. Depending on the species, a female spider can lay anywhere from 2 to 2,000 eggs.

Habitat
Large office buildings or apartment complexes often attract a variety of spiders. Similarly, cottages, homes, or buildings located near rivers and lakes tend to be heavily infested with spiders.

Diet
Spiders feed on a wide range of insects, including caddisflies and midges.
